As part of Irish Design Week, and in collaboration with Cork Institute of Technology, shortlisted and winning designs from Camac’s 6th Annual Wallpaper Design Competition travel from London to be exhibited at the award winning Architecture Factory, Cork.
The exhibition features stunning wallpapers and textiles by design and fine art students from CIT Cork, leading British colleges of art, the Design School at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen, and - for the first time - RMIT, Melbourne, Australia.
Camac Founder Caroline McNamara set a brief for students to create designs inspired by archival resources including Art Deco at the Warner Textile Archive, Braintree, Essex, the recent exhibition ‘From Picasso to Warhol’ at London’s Fashion and Textile Museum or the Museum of Domestic Design & Architecture (MODA). Each was asked to produce an innovative and contemporary wallpaper that would appeal to today’s consumer.
Tori is exhibiting wallpapers inspired by the Art Deco brief.
