Inspired: Creative Collections
Follow Tori's design process as she takes inspiration from Hampshire Cultural Trust's Chace Tapestry
The Creative Collections project celebrates the iconic objects found at Hampshire Cultural Trust, Jane Austen’s House Museum and the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu. Featuring talented practitioners, the exhibition displays the work of artists and designers commissioned to make work inspired by the collections. From the fabric of Austen’s pelisse coat, to the world land speed record-breaking car, ‘Bluebird’, join us to see their unique responses. Artists include Timorous Beasties, Minnow Designs, Claire Gaudion, Simon Harmer, Liz Lippiatt, Tori McLean, Chloe Menage, Mariska Parent and Kim Whitby. Within the exhibition see how artists and designers turn collections into merchandise. This exhibition follows the design journey from collections to commerce, with designs inspired by Hampshire Culutral Trust's collections.
