Gosport Gallery Open Exhibition 2020
Tori will be exhibiting one of her larger silk paintings based on Japanese Kimonos called Miyaqawa-cho.
Returning after a 3 year break, Gosport Gallery welcomes back local artists working in a variety of media, offering the public a wonderful opportunity to purchase an original piece of art by some of the areas finest artists.
Tori will be exhibiting one of her larger silk paintings (95cm x 95cm) based on Japanese Kimonos called Miyaqawa-cho. Tori's piece is created using a special technique that she developed for screen-printing gutta onto silk. Once dried and set the silk is very carefully hand-painted amd then set once more before washing, stretching and framing. Each piece takes many hours to develop, with Tori deciding on the colour combinations as she paints.
